Dear Colleague,
Institute of Complex Medical Engineering (ICME) is a nonprofit organization established in 2005 in Takamatsu, Japan. In the coming years of the 21st century, the theory and practice of medicine must attain greater reliability, safety, flexibility and expandability to support the healthy lives of people around the globe. To attain those goals in an efficient manner, advanced scientific knowledge and multiple innovative technologies must be integrated in health care and medicine.
Since 2005, the ICME has held a variety of conferences and symposiums per year. It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 12th ICME International Conference on Complex Medical Engineering (CME 2018) in Matsue, Japan. The objective of CME 2018 is to provide a forum for researchers, educators, engineers, neurologists, medical staff and government officials involved in the general areas of biomedical engineering to disseminate their latest research results and exchange views on the future research directions of these fields. We hope that this conference proves to be a very rewarding and valuable technical meeting.
The venue is located in the center of Matsue city, which is the capital city of Shimane Prefecture, in Southwest Japan. Known as the “City of Water”, Matsue stands by the Sea of Japan where Lake Shinji and Nakaumi meet, in the middle of Shimane Peninsula. Matsue and its surrounding areas are rich in cultural assets and historical sites, and many of Japan's most ancient legends are set in the area.
I am looking forward to the participation of all researchers and strongly hope that through everyone's cooperation, this meeting succeeds and helps mark our era.
Thank you.
